日常看到Firefox更新了, 而我是真的会看更新记录的用户, 看到了一个有趣的改动

  • For most Windows users, the existing desktop shortcut for launching Firefox has been replaced with the desktop launcher, a small program that will launch Firefox if it is installed, but if it is not installed will prompt the user to install Firefox. This will provide an easy installation point for Firefox users who acquire a new Windows device, where Firefox will not be installed by default, but the desktop launcher program may have synced via OneDrive or other cloud storage product. 只能说, 这下复制快捷方式的笑话 , 至少在Firefox这里不会出现了

你看哪个大公司的浏览器是官方提供便携版的？（貌似Firefox曾经有过官方zip？）

简单说，大家都在竞争市场占比，不搞个安装版来扎根用户设备、强行提高用户使用率，分分钟就是销声匿迹、顶多苟延残喘的局面。
虽然我也烦这种强行扎根（主要是不方便迁移）的做法，但似乎不流氓没活路
所以我用 libportable download | SourceForge.net 来将官方版本便携化，就是每次Firefox更新后需要手动运行一次，但没常驻、不需要启动器，算是最简洁的便携化方案了。

Steam 也是类似的做法，单独把 `steam.exe` 复制到别的文件夹点开，它就会原地基地车展开成一个完整的 Steam……

我发现 Firefox 正在做一个更大胆的尝试（源头在这）：

Firefox 工程师正在开发新型的x86（32位）启动程序，该程序将同时兼容 ARM 与 Intel 版本的 Windows。此项改进可杜绝未来不同架构设备间的快捷方式错误。

看到这里我就想起来了 uGet，开发者曾经明确不给 Windows 提供安装程序，如今已经死了
