这是我为自己使用桌面版 YouTube 制作的免费扩展。首页 Shorts 缩略图悬停约0.4秒后，会在相同位置、相同大小内播放实际视频；鼠标移开就停止并恢复缩略图，不弹出新窗口。
新预览从静音开始，需要时用左上角的小控件打开声音。观看页右侧的推荐视频预览还带有当前时间、总时长和进度条。开启预览声音时，主视频暂时静音；移开鼠标后恢复之前的声音状态，主视频本身继续播放。
开发中修过一个很影响体验的问题：拖动进度条、缓冲时，主视频的声音会突然恢复。现在把“正在播放”和“允许预览出声”分开处理，避免把缓冲当成离开。上下控件也缩小到14px高，尽量少挡住画面。
还有可选的 Shorts 标题与频道信息自动隐藏：鼠标进入视频时显示，移开时隐藏。各功能可单独关闭，设置界面支持简体中文、繁體中文、日语、英语、韩语。
价格与安装
所有功能免费，捐赠完全自愿，不解锁额外功能。扩展本身无需注册账号。目前为 GitHub ZIP 手动安装：下载并解压，在浏览器扩展页面开启开发者模式，加载直接包含 manifest.json 的文件夹，再刷新 YouTube。手动安装不会自动更新。
限制与反馈
它不是广告拦截器，依赖 YouTube 页面与播放器结构，网站更新后可能需要修复。预览可能影响 YouTube 观看记录。源码可供检查，但尚未选择开源复用许可证。扩展不含开发者后台或分析服务，设置保存在本机，YouTube 自身的数据处理仍适用。

I’m Lenged from South Korea, the developer behind Lenged Tools. I made Preview & Shorts Controls for YouTube for my own desktop browsing.
Hover over a home Shorts thumbnail for about 0.4 seconds to play the actual video in the same place and size. Moving away stops it and restores the thumbnail. Each new preview starts muted; the small top-left controls enable sound when wanted.
Watch-page recommendation previews also have current/total time and a seek slider. Enabling preview sound temporarily mutes the main video; leaving restores its previous audio state while the main video keeps playing. During development, seeking and buffering could wrongly restore main-video sound. Separating playback state from permission to play audio fixed this case. The controls are 14px high to reduce obstruction.
An optional feature hides title/channel information on Shorts viewing pages when the pointer leaves the video and reveals it on hover. Features can be switched individually. The settings support Simplified/Traditional Chinese, Japanese, English and Korean.
All features are free; donations are optional and unlock nothing. No extension account is needed. Windows desktop Edge and Chrome have been tested by the author. Firefox, Safari and mobile are unsupported by this package. Distribution currently uses a GitHub ZIP and manual developer-mode installation; updates are manual.
This is not an ad blocker. It depends on YouTube internals, can break after site changes and may affect YouTube watch history. There is no developer backend or analytics, settings stay locally, and YouTube’s own data processing still applies. Source is available for inspection, but an open-source reuse license has not been chosen. Feedback about installation and control usability is welcome through GitHub Issues.
